ACFIC vice chairman attended the Yangtze River Delta Business Summit

The Yangze Rive Delta Business Summit (YRDB), co-organized by the federations of industry and commerce from Shanghai, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces and supported by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), was held in Nanjing on April 16.

 

Fan Youshan, deputy secretary of the Party Leadership of and vice chairman of the ACFIC, and Yang Yue, member of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of CPC, attended the meeting and gave speeches.

 

Themed with “Fusion and Innovation - Business sector from the Yangze River Delta jointly promote high-quality development”, the summit attracted more than 300 entrepreneurs from the private economic sector for a discussion on future development.

 

Fan Youshan, Yang Yue, Chen Xingying (vice governor of Jiangsu Province), Wang Zhixiong (vice chairman of the Shanghai municipal people's political consultative conference and chairman of the municipal federation of industry and commerce), Xu Zhongzi (vice chairman of the standing committee of the Jiangsu Provincial people's congress and chairman of the provincial federation of industry and commerce), Wang Cuifeng (vice governor of Anhui Province and chairman of the provincial federation of industry and commerce), and Wang Jianyi (chairman of the board of directors of Fortis Group) jointly launched the summit, which was hosted by Xu Zhongzi.

 

Fan Youshan firstly extended his congratulations on behalf of the leadership on ACFIC including Gao Yunlong and Xu Lejiang.

 

He said that the Yangtze River Delta, as a an important intersection of the Belt and Road construction and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, cributed a quater of the national economic volume, with 11 percent of the national population and 2.2 percent of national land resource. The delta had marched into the top six city clusters.

 

The delta would become a demonstration area for new development conception in the future and a new growth pole of high-quality economic development, which plays enormous role in lead and promote China’s overall economic development.

 

The delta is also where the private sector develop the most with the strongest innovation capacity. The former South Jiangsu Model and Wenzhou Model were both pioneering private economic models.

 

Private economy, with the most potential and best impetus, in the delta would continue spearheading a new round of reform and opening up. And promoting the integration development of Yangtze river delta will provide a broader stage for the development of private economy.

 

Fan asked for better use of complementary advantages in economic structure, market resources and corporate financing in the integration development so as to provide a broader platform for private enterprises.

 

He also said that such development was indispensable with the support from the government, and asked governments from the four places to break down the barriers of regional policies, promote the implementation of policies, build a new type of clear and close political and business relationship, and continue to create a law-based, international and convenient business environment so that private enterprises would have a real sense of property security, convenience and access to policies.

 

Fan also stressed that federations of industry and commerce from the four places and the affiliated business chambers should actively think and plan a big picture for helping private enterprises to build a new and influential image of social responsibility and sustainable and strong economic force.

 

Yang Yue said in his address that the integration development of Yangtze river delta was a national strategy and an opportunity for the delta to realize intensive development and accelerate industrial confluence.

 

Yang hoped that private enterprises would strive to become practitioners in strengthening the real economy, leaders in promoting scientific and technological innovation, pioneers in opening up to the outside world and role models to shoulder social responsibility.

 

In the discussion on improving the cooperation mechanism of innovative development of the delta, Wang Junjin, vice chairman of Shanghai federation of industry and commerce and chairman of Shanghai JuneYao Group, said the four places should mobilize respective advantages to forge joint force in improving substantial economy and strengthening industrial clusters, during which business chambers should explore new cooperation mechanism combining resources from the many institutions of higher education.

 

“I think we should thinking out of the box, view the development of the Yangtze river delta from the perspective of the new era and globalization, and look for new development opportunities in the learning process,” said Zhang Jindong, vice-chairman of the ACFIC and chairman of Suning Holdings, “ First, we should see the picture of regional integration development, followed by developed countries and regions. Improve high-quality development through innovation. And it is also necessary to demonstrate the social responsibility of enterprises in the new era and make green and sustainable development a new competitive advantage for enterprises in the Yangtze river delta.”

 

Tian Ning, vice president of Zhejiang chamber of commerce and chairman of Panshi Information Technology, believed that new economy and digitization had been changing this world unprecedentedly, and only innovation, reform and embracing this change were the choice to make by private entrepreneurs.

 

Liu Qingfeng, vice chairman of Anhui federation of industry and commerce and chairman of Iflytek Corporation, said that artificial intelligence was the biggest chance and challenge in this era. He said the most important development logic is to construct industrial ecology if we would make breakthroughs through algorithms, and promote the progress of the whole society through the combination of mathematical modeling and brain science research in the future. And that industrial ecology could be made through this summit.

 

Xu Zhongzi said that the summit was only a start for future integration and innovation. The success of the summit would witness every strong leap of the integration developmnt of the Yangtze river delta and would be a medium to spread the future of private economy, from which the people from the industry and commerce sector would hand in a satisfactory result.
